This is a comment sent to Your Job Talk and reprinted here:
I just got hired, and it was not what I was told about this place. Everything is wrong here from the old dilapidated equipment to our cramped locker room. I have talked to people who have been here for a while and tell me to quit now before I get stuck because they are not about to have the things I was told they had. I don’t know what to do because I need the job right now. My wife is pregnant, and it’s not a good time to switch jobs. Something should be done about this lying about benefits and equipment.
